Product Details

The 20 Ton Heavy Load Forklift is a heavy-duty diesel counterbalance truck for large assemblies and industrial components that need to move while production is still in progress. Typical loads may include machine modules, structural bases, partly assembled equipment and other heavy units that are too large for conventional warehouse forklifts.

Unlike a finished product that already has a fixed transport condition, an assembly can change as work continues. Components are added, temporary frames may still be in use, and the next workstation may require the load to arrive from a particular direction. The forklift therefore becomes part of the production flow rather than only a machine used at the final shipping stage.

Between Assembly Stations

A large machine does not always stay in one bay until it is finished.

A base frame may leave the first assembly position before the power unit is installed. Later, the same product can move again for hydraulic work, testing, finishing or another assembly step.

The 20 Ton Heavy Load Forklift can be used for these transfers when the unit has suitable support positions for fork handling.

The receiving position matters as much as the pickup point. A partially assembled machine may need to arrive beside another fixture, test stand or workstation in a specific orientation. In that situation, we want to know where the unit starts and where it has to finish.

A simple production-layout sketch is often enough.

Use the Weight at the Handling Stage

The final machine weight is not always the number we need.

Suppose the finished equipment will eventually weigh 18 tons. At the stage where the forklift actually moves it, several main components may still be missing. The handling weight could therefore be much lower.

The opposite can happen too. A temporary frame, assembly tooling or other items may still be attached when the unit is moved.

For the 20 Ton Heavy Load Forklift, the useful figure is the weight of the unit at that particular handling stage. If the centre of gravity is already known, that information should be considered with it.

This becomes especially useful when one forklift is expected to serve the same product at several points in the assembly process.

FAQ

Q1. What If Temporary Fixtures Are Still Attached When The Unit Is Moved?

They should be included in the handling information. The forklift is carrying the assembly together with anything that remains attached to it at that stage, so the combined weight and overall dimensions are more useful than the finished-product specification alone.

Q2. Can A Partly Assembled Machine Be Placed Directly Onto A Production Stand?

Possibly, but the receiving position needs to be checked first. We would want the stand height, the required final orientation and the areas of the assembly that can be supported while it is being placed, especially if the forklift has limited room to approach the workstation.

Q3. What If The Centre Of Gravity Is Offset During Assembly?

An offset centre of gravity should be identified whenever that information is available. Large components such as an engine, motor, counterweight or hydraulic assembly can change the weight distribution before the machine is complete, so the current assembly condition and intended pickup direction are more useful than assuming the centre of gravity sits in the geometric middle.
