The actual working condition matters just as much as the load weight. Load center, lifting height, load dimensions, ground condition, available working space and operating frequency can all affect forklift selection.
At Propolift, we manufacture diesel and electric forklifts for industrial material handling applications, with capacities covering 3 to 52 tons. For heavy-duty projects, our work normally starts with the application rather than the model number.
Before recommending a forklift, we look at what needs to be moved, where the machine will work and how the load will be handled.
From Application Requirement to Finished Forklift
For heavy-duty forklifts, the configuration is usually confirmed before production begins.
Our typical process is straightforward.
Application Review
We first collect the main operating information: load weight, dimensions, load center, lifting height, working surface and destination market.
Forklift Selection
Based on the information provided, we recommend a suitable capacity and machine configuration.
If the standard model does not match the application, we review possible changes to the mast, fork, attachment, tire or other components.
Production
Once the technical configuration is confirmed, the forklift enters production according to the approved specification.
Components and customized requirements are assembled before final testing.
Testing
Before shipment, basic machine functions are checked, including travel, steering, lifting, tilting, braking and hydraulic attachment operation where applicable.
For selected heavy-duty projects, load testing can also be arranged according to the confirmed requirement.
Shipping Preparation
Large forklifts require careful transport planning because machine dimensions and weight can affect the shipping method.
Depending on the model, shipment may use a standard container, flat rack or another suitable transport arrangement.
