The 16 Tonne Forklift Truck is a heavy-duty diesel counterbalance model rated for 16,000 kg at a 900 mm load center. This version uses a 3,500 mm duplex mast, a full cabin with air conditioning and hydraulic fork positioning as part of its working configuration.

Before the Old Forklift Leaves the Site
There are a few things worth recording while the old truck is still available.
Take a clear photo of the nameplate first. Then keep one full side photo and one front photo with the forks visible. If an attachment is fitted, photograph that separately, including the mounting and hydraulic connections.
Measurements are useful too.
If the truck has been passing through the same doorway for years, record the actual clearance. Measure the fork length if it already works well with the regular load. If the forks normally sit at a particular spacing under a machine base, mould or steel structure, record that as well.
Once the old truck is sold, scrapped or moved away, these simple details become much harder to recover.
Keep What Works. Recheck What Does Not.
An old forklift is a reference, not a drawing that has to be copied.
For example, the old truck may have a mast higher than the customer now uses. Its forks may have been ordered for cargo that is no longer handled. Or the working area may have changed since the machine was first purchased.
