Product Details
The 40 tonne diesel forklift is a CPCD400 heavy-duty counterbalance truck that can be used for large manufacturing components inside power-transformer and heavy electrical equipment plants. A welded transformer tank, tank assembly or other large component may already require heavy handling well before the complete electrical equipment is ready for shipment.
At this stage, the load is still part of the manufacturing process. An empty or partly assembled tank has a different outside condition from the same unit after covers and external parts have been fitted. For forklift work, that changing condition is more relevant than treating every stage as one identical load.

The Tank Changes Before the Transformer Is Finished
A transformer tank can already be a large welded structure before many of the external parts are installed.
Early in production, the sides may still be relatively clear. Later, covers, connections or other tank-mounted structures can change the space around it.
That matters if the same component is moved again.
The 40 tonne diesel forklift may be working with the same tank at more than one production stage, but the access available around the tank should not simply be assumed to remain unchanged.
An arrangement that worked while the tank was relatively bare may need another look after the outside structure has developed further.
Keep One Handling Reference Where Possible
If a large tank remains on the same production or transport base through several factory stages, that base can provide a useful reference for later moves.
The forklift crew already knows how the unit is presented at floor level. There is less need to create a completely different fork-entry arrangement every time the tank changes position in the factory.
This only works while the base remains suitable for the current tank condition.
Once an added part projects into the original working space, the old arrangement should not be followed just because it was used earlier.
The base may stay the same. The tank above it may not.
