How Much Does a Heavy Duty Forklift Cost?

Buyers often ask us for a heavy duty forklift price before providing the full specification.
This is understandable, especially during the early stage of a project.
However, for heavy duty forklifts, capacity alone is not enough to determine the price.
Two 20-ton forklifts can have very different configurations and therefore very different costs.
From a factory point of view, these are the main factors that affect the final quotation.
Forklift Capacity
Higher-capacity forklifts require larger structural components.
As capacity increases, the truck normally needs a stronger:
- Frame
- Mast
- Counterweight
- Axle
- Hydraulic system
- Transmission
- Tire configuration
This is why the price does not increase in a simple straight line according to tonnage.
Load Center
A 16-ton forklift rated at a shorter load center and a 16-ton forklift designed for a much longer load center are not necessarily the same machine.
